More birthday and airplane fun

What could be better than a month full of birthdays and airplanes?  Not sure, so here are more pictures of both...
We celebrated again on Monday night, because we never had my own cake yet.  Abby made me my request of chocolate chip cookies and ice cream...only she had the great idea to make them into ice cream sandwiches.
Abby saved one present for me...a bag from Tizzy!  Can you tell that I love butterfingers.  Oh, thank you also to Mom B. for my hazelnut coffee...awesome!  Thanks too to my parents for the books!  Books and coffee...pretty good birthday!

Anything else in there?
Thanks, Tizzy, for the hat, butterfingers, hot chocolate, and card!
The next day Elias and I with our hats in Sabga.
We all went up to Sabga on Tuesday, so Tom and I could install my new mini-EFIS, a small computerized attitude indicator along with altitude, airspeed, and heading all in one instrument.  The new instrument is the longer black one with red, white, and blue tubes.
Here is a look at the new instrument in the top center on the left hand side of the panel.
Leveling the plane for the compass bracket installed in the back of the fuselage.
Celebrating Chloe's 1st birthday with the Needhams!
She got a puzzle from the Needhams!
Happy Birthday again, Chloe!  All the visitors and most of the Needhams are in Akwaya for a week of evangelism.  Some are trekking out today, others will fly out tomorrow, but the rest of the huge group will be flown out by Tom and I on Friday.  Please pray for a perfect weather day and for good running planes and pilots :)

More June Happenings

This month is flying by as usual.  Here are some more pictures including June flights and birthdays.
Elena and Abby making cupcakes and a birthday cake for Chloe!

 June birthdays!

 Happy 1st Chloe!

Thanks to Grammie and Grandma for sending so many presents through the suitcases!
A few weeks ago, Tom Needham and I were able to fly the Studdard family of five to Ngaoundere for their trip up to the Far North of Cameroon.  It is a two hour flight with not much to see but the beauty of God's creation...
...including a beautiful sunrise the whole flight.
The next day, I was able to fly Roger part way to Bum...
...we landed at the neighboring airstrip of Lassin.
Flying a Fulani family out to Akwaya and bringing out the Holiday Bible School helpers from their week of ministry.
A beautiful day of high visibility and puffy white clouds.
On Saturday, Tom and I flew 19 people out to Akwaya for Netcasters evangelism training.  It was a bit of a stressful day of flying as the sky was very hazy with hidden clouds gathering from the morning.  This was my flight with Mark Gillmore Jr.  We flew low through mountain valleys the back way in to Akwaya due to extremely low clouds.   By the end of three flights for me and four flights for Tom, we were stranded by low clouds at the Bamenda airport with no way to reach Sabga field only a 10 minute flight away.  We were thankful to be on the ground when the thunderstorms rolled through.
We actually had to park the planes there overnight, drive back to and sleep in Sabga, and then return at dawn on Sunday morning to fly the airplanes back.  We will start the flying again on Friday to bring out all the people.  Pray for a better weather day!

Happy 1st Birthday, Chloe!

It is hard to believe that a year ago we were driving in the fog down a mountain, and just a few hours later Chloe Elisabeth Sanderlin was born at the hospital in Cameroon!  Happy 1st birthday, Chloe...we love you!
