Welcome to the news page for the Sam Sanderlin family. We are serving in the country of Cameroon, West Africa. We are planting churches in the Northwest Region and using aviation to reach out into the remote areas of the Southwest Region where the gospel is little known. Our sending church is Wyldewood Baptist in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Our sending agency, Wings as Eagles Mission Air Service, is a ministry of our home church.
Greetings from Cameroon!
II Thessalonians 3:1
"Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you;"

Wings Manko Flight and Football
Today, we woke up early to the sound of thunder and the sight of an overcast sky. Soon it was pouring rain...one of the latest rains in anyone's memory. It is supposed to be dry and dusty now. Anyway, it delayed our flights to Manko, Akwaya today, but we thank the Lord for clear skies by noon and an absolutely tremendous day of flying, playing football, and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ! There were two planes and pilots (Tom and myself) as well as five passengers including Jonathan and Serena with me and then Terry, Bradley, and Philip with Tom. Serena just got her pilot's license before coming here, so I let her fly to Akwaya and back again!
Wings Team Update
Yesterday, we drove to a nearby tea plantation and were given a full tour including their small zoo. We learned alot about tea, and some were brave enough to touch a huge python. Our guide even caught and killed a cobra that slithered by everyone in the culvert. (Sorry for mentioning the snakes!)

Wings Update
Here are a few pictures of the team in action since Friday morning. We woke up very early again and went to the High School down our street. I was allowed to introduce the team, give a 5 minute challenge to the close to 3,000 students, and then all of us who were there followed up with New Testament distribution from class to class.
Friday we evangelized my neighborhood and then showed a film in the evening which was made in Cameroon by Cameroon believers with the help of a missionary.
Saturday we evangelized around the church. Terry and I were able to go with a quarter leader and officially present our land certifate to the leaders who guide the affairs of the local area where new church plot of land is located.
Today was a very special day in the church as we had lots of visitors from contacts made during the week. Terry preached, and then we all walked from our church to the new land where we hope to build in the next few months. We had time of prayer and dedication for the church. We then had lunch with everyone at Pastor Chrysantus' house.
Praise the Lord for a great time of ministry with friends from our home church in Oshkosh and our brother in Christ from Illinois! They have been a huge blessing!

Wings as Eagles Missions Team!
I know that some really want to see some pictures of this missions team, so here they are. I must say it has been awesome having friends from home visit us in our home away from home! It looks like blogger posted them in reverse order and out of order from what I wanted, and I don't have time to fix it. Enjoy!
