We have had a great week doing a variety of things here in Cameroon. I decided to update the blog during the big rain storm that moved through Sabga while we all were working outside. Many people are working here at the Needhams everyday to get their property ready for the missionary family camp on Monday. Missionaries from all over Cameroon will be coming in for preaching and fellowship. Please pray for that week.
We had an interesting day in the capital of our Northwest province yesterday. I won’t go into all the details but the police decided to round up as many parking offenders as they could find and that included us. My documents were taken, and we were told to go to the station. Thankfully we had one of our Cameroonian friends with us, but we still had to wait at the station for several hours before we could pay the “fine” and leave. We were able to get out of there before dark. Our friend, Genesis, said he had never seen anything like that before. We have appreciated Genesis’ help the last several days in navigating the streets, markets, and government systems to get our new documents. We still have a lot of things left to do, but we have made some good progress.
Elena is busy skinning her knees, legs, and arms as she continues to play hard inside and out. She loves the cats, dogs, cows, and especially the roosters when they talk to her. She is getting better at greeting people who ask her to greet them. Elias just puts on a big grin and goes to them all. Abby is busy helping Kathy Needham with preparations for family camp plus feeding those of us staying here at the house.
We just came down to the Yeiters house to see our two new puppies. The Loeschers saved two for us and two for the Yeiters. One is chocolate and the other is a dark brown. Elena and Elias are very excited.
There is lots more to say, but we hope you enjoy a few pictures.
Have a wonderful week!

Hey Sam, Abs, Elena, and Elias! :-) I love all the pictures - it's great to see everyone, but I always tear up! I love Elias' cheesy smiles - it looks like Adam when he was a little boy (only lighter hair). Please email me the picture of you guys in the MI shirts! I absolutely have to print and frame them!!! :-) Love you all very much, Anna & Emily
Forgot to ask...what did you name your TWO new puppies?

Hey guys! I love all the pictures! The kids look so cute! ELias is getting so big!! By the way, somebody found Elena's velvet purse with her Bible, six dollars, chapstick, and mints here at church. What do you guys want me to do with it? Love, Mary
The chocolate lab we are naming "Mambo" after the chocolate bar that they make here in Cameroon. Not sure about the other one yet.
Can you get the purse and Bible to someone coming over here? Elena would like have her Bible. Thanks!
Hi loved ones! It's so fun to see pics and hear the news. Just know we think and pray for you OFTEN! Hope the camp is fun and encouraging for you all. Hugs to you all...
Lots of love,
Mom (for everyone)
It sounds like you guys are getting settled. It's a good thing Braxton is not driving in the capital there....he's got enough parking tickets here! The puppies are cute. Think of a name yet for the other one? Take care, we're praying for you.

I don't know if the dogs are girls or boys, but what about Hershey or Tootsie?

Hello! I recently started a blog to provide resources, encouragement, and community to missionary moms. I wanted to invite you to stop by and join in on the conversations if you would like! God bless your family and ministry!

Hey Abby, this is Tiffany Rider! YOur Mom gave me the email so my Mom is typing for me. I was excited & happy to see the pic of you & your family! I will pray for you & ask my church to pray too. Love you alot,Tiffany
I think Elena has named the dark brown lab "Chocolate"...how original! One of the sisters of Chocolate is named Tootsie. I was thinking Ghiardelli (sp?) might be nice...we just found where you can by Ghiardelli chocolate here in Bamenda...Abby's favorite. The puppies are doing well. We have them at the Needham's house now. Elena loves to play with them and Elias loves to sit and watch. He is almost walking but not quite. Thanks for all your prayers!
